›Is Lili's Registration a state DMV?
No. We’re a private, licensed online registration service. We prepare and submit your registration, title, and non-op paperwork to the appropriate state agency on your behalf — either through our own state EVR (Electronic Vehicle Registration) permit or through a licensed registration-service partner.
›How does the pricing work?
Three components, all shown before you pay: our service fee (set per service — see pricing page), a small partner processing fee (drops to $0 in states where we hold our own EVR permit), and the actual state DMV fees passed through at cost. No markup on DMV fees, ever.
›How long does it take?
Typical turnaround: 3–7 business days for renewals and replacements, 5–14 business days for titles and transfers, depending on the state. We’ll email you at each milestone (submitted, DMV in review, completed) and you can watch progress live on your order page.
›What if my paperwork gets rejected by the DMV?
If the DMV rejects the submission for something on our side — data-entry mistake, wrong form — we resubmit at our cost. If it’s missing or invalid documentation from you, we email you the specifics and let you resubmit, no additional service fee. DMV fees you’ve already paid the state are generally not refundable by us.
›What's your refund policy?
Cancel anytime before payment — drafts cost nothing. After payment but before submission, you can request a full refund through support. After we’ve submitted to the DMV, we can refund our service fee but not the state fees already paid to the DMV on your behalf.
›Do you work in my state?
We accept orders in all 50 US states. Our direct-submit EVR permits roll out state by state; everywhere else we route through a licensed partner who handles the DMV submission. The customer experience is identical either way.
›Can I register a boat or vessel through you?
Yes. We handle vessel registration in every state, including the states where the vessel authority isn’t the DMV (FL FWC, CA DMV-Vessels, FL HSMV, SC DNR, TX Parks & Wildlife, etc.).
›Is my information safe?
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256 on Supabase). Card payments go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Document uploads are private — only you, our support team, and the licensed partner processing your specific order can see them. See our privacy policy.
›Why is the partner-processing fee on my bill?
Until we hold an EVR permit in your state, a licensed registration-service partner submits your transaction to the DMV. They charge a small per-transaction fee which we pass through transparently rather than hide in our service fee. As we obtain our own permits state by state, this fee disappears in those states.
›I'm a dealer — do you offer dealer accounts?
Yes. Dealer accounts get bulk CSV order submission, reduced per-transaction pricing once approved, per-state license tracking, and dedicated support. Apply takes ~5 minutes; admin review is usually same-day.
›What's the status check for?
Look up the registration status of any vehicle by plate or VIN — free, no account required. Useful if you’re buying a used car and want to confirm the seller’s registration is current, or if you’re not sure when your own renewal is due.
